Which Treadmill Is The Best

Which Treadmill Is The Best
Today everybody has become health conscious and wants to stay fit, but going to the gym can be a luxury which many people do not enjoy because of time constraint.
You can solve this problem by getting a treadmill for your home.
Not only can you workout at home without having to go anywhere, you can also exercise at your convenience anytime you want.
A treadmill is a piece of exercise equipment where you run on the spot, without moving any distance.
You can exercise while watching TV, or even read while you run.
Even when there is bad weather you can run indoors.
The working system of a treadmill is the belt system.
The top of the belt moves to the rear, allowing you to run an equal and necessarily opposite speed.
The speed and the distance covered can be set or measured.
You can also change the rate of speed when you need.
Because all factors of the run are known, the exact energy spend is able to be calculated.
Some treadmills also have special built-in features such as heart rate monitors, step count, amount of calories burnt, etc.
How to choose the right treadmill:
Well, after deciding you want to buy a treadmill for yourself, but looking at the number of different treadmills available, you may get confused as to which one is best. There are lots of things you need to consider.
Price is of course something you need to consider, but remember never to compromise on money when it comes to your fitness and health; after all you do not want to feel sorry later. Don't become a slave to price.
Consider the durability and functionality first, and then come to the price.
Before you set out to buy a treadmill, first decide where you want to put it, and measure up the space.
If space is an issue, you may want to choose a model which folds for storage.
One important factor that you need to consider while choosing the treadmill is its motor.
Choose one that has a larger and heavier motor if you are looking for long lasting and durability.
There are two ratings of horsepower.
Peak duty rating is rated on the treadmill tag, and continuous duty rating, which is very important as it determines the quality and the duration of the treadmill, is stamped on the motor.
Get a 1.5 continuous duty horsepower or higher if your weight is more than 185 pounds.
Pay attention to the size of the walking track and the walking deck.
Get a thick size deck at least 3/4 inches thick, for comfort of the feet and legs.
The length of the walking track should be at least 48 inches and the width about 17 inches, so that you do not step off the track.
You can get a longer track if you are going to run on the treadmill.
Next check the shock absorption.
Avoid buying treadmills that have shock absorbers on the legs as this is not effective shock absorption.
The treadmill's suspension must be directly under the walking deck to provide effective cushioning for the legs, feet and back.
Foam or rubber is used for the padding.
Foam can be softer and more comfortable than rubber, but it requires more time to return to its original size after impact, where rubber can recover to full thickness instantly and is a better shock absorbent.
They can be more expensive than the usual treadmills, so if you are on a limited budget you could always buy a cheaper one and get a separate heart rate monitor and develop your own programs & fitness

Your Headset Mic - Getting it on right!
By Kevin Dempsey
Fitness headset microphones take an awful lot of abuse.
We sweat, scream, and spit into them.
At the end of our class when we hit shower that poor mic is still out there doing another class.
We work our mics so hard it borders on abuse.
Is it any surprise we have so many problems with them?
 But you can help.
Most group fitness headset microphones for are designed to sit at the side of your face about two finger's width away from the corner of your mouth, or slightly in front and to the side of mouth, not directly in front as with most head worn singer's microphones.
This helps to avoid amplifying breath noises and blowing spit into the mic capsule as you teach.
If you need to confirm that the mic is working after you have turned on the transmitter and checked that the mixer and sound system are all set to go then, whatever you do,
NEVER blow into the microphone to test it!
Blowing hard into the delicate microphone capsule is the easiest way to damage it.
A simple "test - one - two" is all you need to say and you won't risk being the cause of expensive, unnecessary repairs.
After use, always remove the foam windscreen from the mic, gently wipe any sweat from the mic, and remove the body pack transmitter from your pouch belt.
To store the system when not in use, hang the headset microphone on a hook 1m(3ft) above a shelf for the transmitter so that the headset's cable is kept as straight as possible.
Do not coil or kink the cable.
A few simple steps:
2) Never blown into the microphone.
1) Don't put the mic capsule directly in front of you mouth.
3) If your mic was design to use a foam windscreen then always use one.
4) Always remove the windscreen after use.
5) Always use a neoprene transmitter pouch belt.
6) Always remove the body pack transmitter from the pouch belt.
7) Hang the mic when not in use.
Do not coil or kink the cable.
Feedback (that squealing or howling sound) occurs when the microphone is too loud, the music is too loud for the microphone or you are too close to the speakers.
In most cases turning the microphone level down or moving away from the speakers will stop the howling so just adjust the levels to get the right mix of voice over music without the howls.
We also find that better quality speakers are less prone to feedback.
If feedback persists because of the room's architecture (full of mirrors, windows, a polished wood floor and brick upper walls) or your speaker types (ie: some horn tweeters) then there are a selection of feedback exterminator devices or 31 band graphic equalizers available as an add-on component that fits between the Wireless Microphone Receiver and the Mixer, that will filter out those annoying squeals.
When used correctly, headset microphones that were designed for group fitness use will give you many years of trouble free service.
Take care of your fitness microphone and it will take care of you.

Simple Steps Before You Buy Elliptical Machine

Simple Steps Before You Buy Elliptical Machine
Training at home could prove as a good solution for the ones interested.
The effectiveness of this type of training could compare to the one of working out in the gym, as long as some factors are considered.
The first, and at the same time the most important of these, is owning the necessary equipment.
If, besides this, you also have a partner who trains with you, the exercises can be as effective as the ones performed in the gym.
Of course, we are talking now about the ideal situation of affording a gym in your own house.
Even with these conditions fulfilled, some practitioners, especially the more extrovert ones, might lack the stimulating atmosphere, the sharing of experience, the communication that they can find in the gym.
In most of the cases, what you can do at home is improvise a room or just a corner of a room, for fitness.
Besides, most of the times you have to train by yourself.
As these are the most frequent situations, we'll deal with them now.
The minimum of equipment necessary for training at home includes: an adjustable bench, a set of two dumbbells, with increasing weights, a barbell, with free weights and a fix bar for pull ups.
This equipment will enable both executing basic exercises (squats, bench presses, pull-ups, sit-ups, etc.) and diversity of exercises, necessary for avoiding routine.
The main disadvantage of not having a partner to train with is reflected in the amount of loading in some exercises, which cannot reach its maximum.
There are many exercises which can be loaded to maximum without any risk, even if there is no partner to assist you (pull-ups, dips, shoulder presses, barbell curs, dumbbell curls, etc.).
An advantage which comes from training at home is that you can choose the training time without any restraint.
Moreover, the speed of exercising can be increased a lot if the practitioner chooses to execute supersets, tri sets or giant sets.
You can also save time, as you are not distracted by casual conversation, by waiting for the machines to be available, by having to change the weights for every personal series of exercises, etc.
In the extreme case when we can only afford as equipment a mattress, chairs and a towel, we can focus on exercises using the weight of the body (push-ups, reverse push-ups, between chairs push-ups, squats, sit-ups, crunches, hyperextensions, lunges, plyometrics, plunks, etc.).
All the exercises involving the body weight are considered as really demanding, because they mobilize more stabilizing muscles that ensure coordination and balance.
The body-weight exercises are often introduced in the programs at the gym due to their proven effectiveness.
They are also used in training and testing people in special troops, as these need a lot of force and discipline in their training.

What is the best home elliptical machine?

What is the best home elliptical machine?
That is a question many first-time home exercise equipment buyers ask.
Some things are really important to take into consideration:
this includes price, quality, and the size you have dedicated to machine.
Price:
prior to purchasing an elliptical trainer you should have an ideal amount of money you are looking to spend.
By having a predetermined budget you're unlikely to spend more than what you can afford to and get the best elliptical trainer for your home.
his will also help as many online retailers allow you to select items by price range.
You have to understand oftentimes you get what you pay for, so you should be careful as to not buy too cheap of a machine.
Quality:
A quality of your elliptical machine is also vitally important.
You need to make sure that you take this into account prior to purchasing your elliptical machine.
Too many newer users do not research properly purchase a low-end elliptical machine only to find it breaks after a short period of time(usually just after the warranty period).
Then, they must go out and purchase a more expensive, higher quality machine costing them more than if they bought a higher quality one to begin with since they had to make two purchases.
Size Of Machine:
Before you purchase a machine online visit a physical local store and measure the machine you're thinking about buying to make sure fits into your space.
Most elliptical trainers are all similar in size, this sometimes poses a challenge for people looking to use an elliptical trainer, but are limited in the space they have to dedicated to it.
Many online stores will have measurements of each machine but they're not always accurate.
In conclusion if you follow these few simple principles should successfully buy the best elliptical machine to use in your home for your fitness
